Publisher of Funds Europe
Alan is a qualified chartered accountant, involved in publishing for 20 years. He co-founded Funds Europe in 2002 while he was managing director of Union Press Limited from 2001 until 2007.
He was managing director of Harper Trade Journals Limited for five years from 1996. Previously he was commercial adviser to Lipper Analytical Europe, publisher of The European Fund Directory, and a director of Professional and Business Information Plc, publisher of the UK Fund Industry Directory.
Partner at Goodwin
Alexandrine’s practice focuses on private equity fund formation and transactions, advising private equity sponsors on their investments, co-investments, joint ventures and corporate finance, drawing on her experience on business management, corporate finance, restructuring, compensation, retirement plans and advising financial sponsors and management in setting-up complex compensation schemes as part of LBO transactions. Alexandrine has a general experience on syndicated financings (including leveraged financing and restructurings) and a particular experience on fund financings.
Her team is described in the Legal 500 as ‘a funds practice that is ‘robust, responsive and well-priced’, she is ranked in Chambers & Partners and has been shortlisted at the 5th, 6th and 7th Annual Europe Women in Business Law Awards, Private Equity. The editorial also describes her as having ‘very good knowledge of fund regulation and set-up issues’, ‘refreshing energy’ and ‘giving great comfort’.
General Counsel at Denham Capital
Paul Winters is a Managing Director and serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for the firm. He joined Denham Capital in 2005. As General Counsel, Paul is responsible for all legal matters related to the firm, its funds and its fund investments. He is a member of the Valuation Committee and speaks both Spanish and German. Prior to joining Denham, he was an attorney in the Project Development and Finance Group of Latham & Watkins LLP.
Paul currently serves on the Board of Directors of Greenleaf Power LLC, as well as Wide Horizons for Children, a Boston-based adoption and child welfare agency.
Paul received a Bachelor of Science and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.
