Graham Sheward appointed Vice Chairperson of Global Finance Mauritius
Graham Sheward, Managing Director of Cim Global Business (a member of the SGG Group), has been appointed as Vice Chairperson of Global Finance Mauritius (GFM). GFM is the apex body of broad-based financial services industry in Mauritius.
GFM is a coalition of financial services providers which brings together leading players within the financial services industry in Mauritius, namely Banks, Management Companies, Accounting Firms, Law Firms, the Stock Exchange of Mauritius and other licensees of the Financial Services Commission (FSC).
Commenting on his election as Vice-Chairperson, Graham Sheward stated: “After serving GFM and its founder organisation, GIIF, in various roles for over five years, I’m humbled and delighted to be offered the opportunity to further serve the Mauritius financial services industry as Executive Board Director and Vice Chairperson of GFM. I look forward to continuing to work closely with the Chairperson and with our CEO, Samade Jhummun, together with fellow Board Directors and GFM members”.
Mauritius International Financial Centre (IFC) is an internationally recognised and well–regulated, transparent jurisdiction, with an impressive track record of two decades of experience in cross-border investment and finance, and is a jurisdiction of significant substance for investing into the growing African continent, amongst other emerging economies.
Since its inception in 2010, GFM has significantly contributed to the debate and discussions on the development of the Mauritius financial services industry and actively promoted the jurisdiction and the interests of its members both locally and globally. GFM provides a forum for thought leadership and business intelligence to advance the interests of its members and positively position the Mauritius International Financial Centre (MIFC).
GFM works in collaboration with institutions like the Board of Investment (BOI) and the Financial Services Promotion Agency (FSPA), in promoting the Mauritius International Financial Centre internationally.
