SGG Mauritius strengthens business development team to support African growth strategy
SGG Mauritius, which forms part of SGG Group, a leading global investor service firm, is pleased to announce two new hires in its business development team. These hires support SGG Group’s African growth strategy and form part of the company’s wider plans to attract high calibre professionals to join its expanding operations.
Shameel Rumjaun has been appointed as Business Development Senior Manager and Akshay Asgarally as Business Development Manager.
Shameel has previously worked for a number of major companies in the accounting and audit sector in Mauritius and in the UK, and most recently for ABAX, where he spent the last five years as Senior Manager responsible for the Southern Africa region within the International Business Development team.
Akshay was previously working for MITCO in Mauritius as a Business Development Executive for nine years, where he was leading a team within business development and company formation services. Prior joining MITCO, he worked for an international bank in Mauritius.

SGG Mauritius is already connecting a number of fund managers to African opportunities. The company has an office in South Africa and is planning to further strengthen its position on the continent.
